
Masvingo prominent businessman, bus operator and owner of Masvingo “Una Una” United Football Club, Tanda “Mhunga” Tavaruva has died.
One of his eldest sons,Cornelius “Cargo” Tavaruva confirmed the tragic incident on Monday (today) evening articulating that his father “Mdara Mhunga” passed on at his elite Rhodene suburb after being bedridden for a couple of years succumbing to stroke.
“He passed on at home late this afternoon ,few hours later after seeing the doctor ,”said Cornelius.
Cornelius reiterated that burial arrangements will be announced in due course.
During his peak, Mhunga prides himself as one of the biggest employers in the ancient town as he owned a fleet of buses that plied most of the country’s highway and the famous Masvingo United Football Club.
