
Zimbabwe’s Covid-19 confirmed cases have spiked to 265 after 28 returnees tested positive yesterday.
The recently confirmed cases are returnees from neighbouring South Africa and they have since been quarantined.
1 298 peeople were tested yesterday for the deadly covid- 19 pandemic, bringing the cumulative number of tested people to 52 218.To date, Zimbabwe has 265 active cases, 33 recoveries and four deaths.
Harare metropolitan province has the highest number standing at 97, Bulawayo 19,Manicaland 11, Mashonaland central 3, Mashonaland East 23, Mashonaland west 12, Masvingo 37, Midlands 18, Matebeleland 4 and Matebeleland South 41.
However, the World Health Organisation(WHO) articulated that Zimbabweans need not to worry about the high numbers of confirmed cases rather citizens ought to exercise all precautionary measures including observing social distance, wear face masks and to follow all the guidelines stipulated by the Government.
