Some of the players who were present at the handover ceremony include club Captain Method Mwanjali, Phineas Bamusi ,John Zhuwawu, and Ronald Chitiyo. “We managed to cater for 35 players and the technical staff. However some of the players could not make it here due to transport challenges but their hampers were received on their behalf by captain Method Mwanjali who has promised to deliver to those affected players,” said Mutandwa

Mutandwa articulated that, ” i’m urging other well wishers ,private stakeholders and corporates to join hands in assisting our beloved footballers.Special mention to my partners, Pan Jap Chief Executive Mr Bryton Ushendibaba,Danya Kalembwe and Caps United fan George Manyaya for making this function a success”.

“Our next stop are health institutions where we are targeting to deliver grocery hampers and personal protective equipment,i’m assuring the nation that we as a foundation wont stop with our job till we win this fight against the deadly Covid 19 pandemic”,said Mutandwa.

Club Captain Method Mwanjali thanked the Foundation for remembering the players during these trying times when football is on a break.

“We appreciate the efforts made by the Foundation to remember footballers during this Covid 19 induced lockdown.Football is part of our life and we largely depend on since its our career path, now this pandemic has left us with no choice except staying at home doing nothing only adhering to Covid 19 precautionary measures, said Mwanjali.
