Deputy Chief Secretary to the President and Cabinet &President's Spokesperson George Charamba
President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa’s spokesperson, George Charamba has rubbished malicious allegations by embattled MDC Alliance leader Nelson Chamisa that his mentor was responsible for unfavorable court rulings his illegitimate opposition party has endured at the courts regarding them as deragotory in nature.
Deputy Chief Secretary to the President and Cabinet(Presidential Communications), George Charamba reiterated that President Mnangagwa did not direct Chamisa to approach the courts.
“I suppose the same president would have advised them to approach the courts, isn’t it?
“When you present your matter in court, you must necessarily respect the outcome, happy or unhappy as the case may be, and that can’t be the responsibility of a non-party to procedures,” said the President’s spokesperson Charamba.
He further articulated that, “the President is not a party to the case, so how do you suddenly import a person who is not a party to the process, who has not declared an intention to be a litigant?”
Chamisa should come to terms with the court ruling and accept the fact that he is not the legitimate leader of the party.
“How do you suddenly import him to explain your poor showing in the court,” asked President’s spokesperson in the Office of the President and Cabinet.
George Charamba went on to “urge” the MDC Alliance to come and brief President Mnangagwa before they go to court in future, if they wish to blame him for unfavorable court rulings.
